Lost Network Connectivity in on both Virtual Flex 10 interconnections during OA firmware upgrade

Has anybody seen this before.  I opened a support case with HP.

We lost network connectivity for 12 seconds on both Virtual Connect Flex-10 modules in a single chassis after upgrading the firmware on one of the on board administrators.  This took out 20+ VMs.  In that 12 seconds the hypervisor shut down all of the VM's and they were down for about 27 minutes until we figured out what was going on.

We are in the process of building a second chassis for our VM world, but money is tight.  This kind of event is totally unacceptable and makes me leery of our decision to go to Virtual Connect technology.   We have never experienced something like this in our 9 other chassis that are running 10gig Procurve interconnects or on our GbE2c L2/L3 interconnects.

FYI - we went from 3.1.0 to 3.1.1 on the OA's in this chassis.  3.1.1 was released as critical
