Multi-Enclosure Stacking (ME)S configuration mixing Virtual Connect -Fibre Channel modules
Artur had a MES stacking question:
*********************
Hi, Is it possible to configure a MES using different VCFC 4G modules with different part numbers, ie old and the news ones (HP 4Gb VCFC and Virtual Connect 4Gb FC modules)?
*************************
Multiple people responded:
******************
Rich: That should be fine both vc-fc modules have the same number of uplinks so you can’t make mistakes at the profile level.
Jeroen: The difference is probably the partnumber –b21 versus –b22 on the other modules. Just check the show interconnect info on each enclosure for those partnumbers. Even mixing a 4GB 20 port VC-FC module with in another enclosure on the same location a 20port 8GB FC module is allowed in a MES.
