Replacing Ethernet Virtual Connect Flex-10 with VC Flex-10D module

Simo had a customer upgrade question:

Customer is possibly having issues with MAC table overflow. The MAC table for Flex-10 is 8k(older version), but for Flex-10D it’s 128k.

He’s having free set of Flex-10D interconnects ready for replacement.

-Can the Flex-10 be replaced with Flex-10D online(one by one)?

-If not possible online, can anyone give some guidance of doing it offline?

Note: that you cannot replace Flex-10 “one by one” with Flex-10/10D modules.
