VC Flex-10 10GB Ethernet Modele uplink SFP+ option

Hi all, could anyone advice if it is possible to use normal SFP 1Gb copper plug if the requirement is just 1Gb for some of the ports? The SFP+ 10Gb copper uplink requires another SFP+ 10Gb switch on top...

The SFP+ standard allows for SFP modules to operate, however, you will need to ask your HP sales person which modules are "officially" supported. There are also copper 1 GE uplink version of HPVC, so not sure why you would want 10GE down and 1 GE up.

SPF modules are supported for 1GbE applications. Look at the VC Flex-10 QuickSpecs to get correct part numbers. http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13127_div/13127_div.html in the "Related Options' section.
