VCEM and deleted profiles question
Nick had a customer question:
********
Quick question; Does VCEM return MAC addresses and WWNs to the pool for re-use when a server profile is deleted? If so has this been the case for all versions? (I have a VCEM customer who has run out of MAC and WWN and has had VCEM for about 2 years).
*************
Info from Julio:
***************
Yes, VCEM returns the addresses to be re-used if a server profile is deleted (valid for all VCEM versions). An address may not be available for re-use if it is reserved to Matrix.
Please check the addresses status (needs to be Free) and ownership (it cannot have an owner) to see if the address is available for re-use.

And a reply from David:
It has been mentioned that a VC scripted install that specifies(reserves) MACs, WWNs and SNs will not be returned into the pool.

Any other comments or questions?
