Virtual Connect Flex10 internal X-connect

John had a Virtual Connect x-connect internal link question:

Do the Virtual Connect Flex-10 interconnects really need the stacking links X7 and or X8 to synchronize or checkpoint? I was under the assumption that they did this through the internal network that is setup when you give ip’s to the OA, ILO and interconnects.

There is no internal communication, if both ports are used for uplinks.

Comments? Questions? Good to know if you want to have greater netowrk physical separation. Bad if you want redundacy and don't use any of the uplink ports for stacking links.
