event ID
Hi,
I have a server that is configured as PDC with a NIC fault tolerant teaming.
A lot of the other backup domain controls get multiple errors of event ID 8021 that they cannot retrieve the browse list from the PDC server.
Do you have any idea what can solve this problem
Thanks in advance
Paul

Re: event ID
Take a look at the Microsoft Knowledgebase for article [Q135404] which describes this issue and it's resolution

Re: event ID
Thanks a lot for your reply,
I went through that article but ....
my server is not multihomed, I'm just using two network cards that I have teamed together using the Compaq driver (one card being in standby). For the rest the cards are going to the same subnet and I unbound all transports from the physical NICs and I only defined the binding to the NIC team.
Could it be that that NIC team is not behaving correctly?

Re: event ID
Certainly - but If your indications are showing the team working I would suspect something else. Take a look at Microsoft Technet article Q181774 which discussed theory and problems of multihoming. If you have multiple nic's and a router, bridge (etc) netbui can cause the disconnect as well. There's lots more info in the article.
