If the command's output is really:

display version comp-matrix file ipe flash:/5700-CMW710-R2432P06.ipe

Verifying the file flash:/5700-CMW710-R2432P06.ipe on slot 2............Done.

Personally I tend to trust that output instead of a text on a paragraph of cited Release Notes.

Re: 5700 upgrade from R2432P05 to R2432P06

Well, it looks strange to me that 2 near minor releases - 05 and 06 are not compatible, while 06 is compatible with 03 and earlier.

In 05 release notes https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00035480en_us&docLocale=en_US Table 3 ISSU compatibility list

Current version Earlierversion Compatibility

5700-CMW 710-R 2432P05 5700-CMW 710-R 2432P03 Yes 05 and 03 are compatible.

So how 05 and 06 can be not?

Contacted HPE support, have no reply for more then 12 hours :-(

I have 24*7 support ;-)

Slesru,

I agree with Parnassus.   Mistakes can be made in the release notes.  Your recourse is to reboot into the new release since the version update is not compatible with ISSU.

Sorry.

David

Well, today is month since I contacted HPE support, no solution for my problem, no answer about software issu upgrade... Unfortunately, I'm not who decides here, otherwise I'd never buy HPE products :-)
