One GRE for multiple PBR's

hello

Quick question.

is it ok to use one GRE tunnel for multiple policy based routes? I would want to push traffic from two different IP ranges across GRE.

Re: One GRE for multiple PBR's

Hi @pattap

In genral you can have GRE tunnel between two sites or you can use DMVPN to have multiple Tunnels ( One to multiple sites ) .

Once you formed the tunnel, you can encapsulate the traffic between two sites.

But what you do you mean by two different IP ranges ? Any topology diagram will be helpfull on this

Yes I understand the principals of GRE.

Question is whether there are any disadvantages from performance stand
point of having multiple PBR's utilising single GRE. Or are there any reasons at all why you wouldn't want to do that.

Hi @pattap

This is something which i never came across ,  is there is any specific requirement to use only one Tunnel for Multiple PBR ?

Why you will be using Multiple PBR when you going to use only One GRE ?

Re: One GRE for multiple PBR's

complexity is the answer, why to configure multiple GRE's if only one can be used. I have multiple sites with specific requirements, part of it is a number of PBR's and tunneling.
