One of the Switchports on HP 5900AF-48XGT-4QSFP+ is no longer responding
One of the Switchports on HP 5900AF-48XGT-4QSFP+ is no longer responding. I do not see any activity at all on this port. Have tested with multiple cables by directly connecting a laptop to this port and I dont even see link lights on the port. I see the following errors in the logs in diag-info:
IF_PHY_IOCTL fails, Cmd(0x108121f), ifindex(109), ErrCode(0x40010008).

Any pointers on resolving this issue would be much appreciated. Thanks.

How about a display interface or display transceiver alarm

Re: One of the Switchports on HP 5900AF-48XGT-4QSFP+ is no longer responding
have you reported this to HP?
It seems like hardware issue, input/output control failed?
I've just checked on mine 5900 for debugs that may shed some light, I'd debugging system-event
also try dis transceiver diagnosis interface Ten-GigabitEthernet 2/0/44
the below is an output from a working interface for comparison
dis transceiver diagnosis interface Ten-GigabitEthernet 1/0/2
Ten-GigabitEthernet1/0/2 transceiver diagnostic information:
Current diagnostic parameters:
Temp.(▒▒C) Voltage(V) Bias(mA) RX power(dBm) TX power(dBm)
22 3.34 5.14 -2.23 -2.01
Alarm thresholds:
Temp.(▒▒C) Voltage(V) Bias(mA) RX power(dBm) TX power(dBm)
High 81 3.80 16.50 1.00 1.00
Low 0 2.81 1.00 -11.90 -10.30

Re: One of the Switchports on HP 5900AF-48XGT-4QSFP+ is no longer responding
Are you using a genuine HPE Transceiver? Is there any information in the logbuffer? display logbuffer reverse would be helpful.

Re: One of the Switchports on HP 5900AF-48XGT-4QSFP+ is no longer responding
even if the sfp is not HP it was working at some point by the look of the counters on the interface
