Does installing an ROC destroy existing data

If you add an ROC and second hard drive to an existing NT4 server and then configure Raid 1 via the ROC, does the existing data on the original disk get destroyed.

yes the data will be destroyed since the ROC was not in the system when you had the initial drive in it.
