HpCISSs3 Event ID 5012 I/O being retried

Hi everyone,

Setup:

We have a C7000 blade enclosure with 2 x HP 6Gb SAS BL Switch on them, connected to 7 x D2700 disk enclosures via 2 eSAS cables each, dual domain enabled.

In this Enclosure a ProLiant BL660c Gen8 with Smart Array P731m (BBWC enabled, Write 100%) connected to some of the disks from multiple D2700 enclosures (RAID50 from 18 x SAS dual port disks and RAID10 from 8 x SSD single port).

There are other servers on the same enclosure working with the same storage, but they are not loaded heavily on disk I/O, and do not have this issue.

Issue:

There are disk read performance problems. Read performance is way below the specs. Write is a bit better, but still not reaching the specs.

Once the load on the disk increases, we are getting numerous events in the event log only on the mentioned blade (OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 Sp1).

Can somebody please explain what these events mean, I have failed to find the description in the web.
