MSA1500 LUNs not seen on XP10000 with MSA f/w V7.00

We're unable to see MSA1500 LUNs presented via SSP to an XP10000 after running "Discovery from CV-XP AE". The XP is at the latest f/w version, External Storage can see the MSA controllers, and an EVA (including EVA LUN). Support doc for the MSA says Minimum f/w is V6.86, we have V7.00 Are there any known issues with V7.00, or are we the first to discover this one ?

The min supported XP FW to support A/A version of the MSA1500 is 50-07-64-00/00.

If you have a dual controller MSA1500 the MSA Host Mode must be set to Tru64; for single controller to Windows!

We're also set for "Tru64" and their's a new Host Mode called "XP External Storage" in the MSA ACU.

We downgraded from MSA f/w V7.00 to V6.86 and our issue was resolved. I guess the term "Minimum MSA f/w V6.86" needs to be changed to "MSA f/w V6.86 only". Thank you.

Hello Michael

Just came across an XP alert telling that there is an issue when upgrading an MSA to V7 with an XP FW lower than 50-09-04-00/00.

The XP will not see newly created LUNs or newly installed MSAs.

So after having upgraded the XP to µcode 50-09-04-00/00 and greater you can go with MSA V7.
