pb after changing CV 9 hostname
hello,
I installed command view in a standalone windows server using local Admin account and everything runs fine.
on of the local admins change the hostname of the server and add it to a domain and since then we have no access to command view interface ("Insufficient privileges" error message)we add the admin domain account to "HP storage admins Group" but the problem persist.
any idea/document we can use in order to solve this problem?
thanks in advance & regards
R.

Re: pb after changing CV 9 hostname
I would just uninstall and re-install it.
There is no harm in doing this and you won't lose any data.
The EVA's will just be discovered again once you reinstall it.

Re: pb after changing CV 9 hostname
hello,
thanks for your answer
this is the only solution we have...I'll inform my customer to do it
from the EVA release note I found this also:
EVA Release Notes:
Changing the system's hostname
If you change a system's hostname after installing HP Command View EVA, the client applications cannot retrieve data. To enable the client to retrieve data, remove HP Command View EVA and then reinstall it. For instructions on removing and installing HP Command View EVA, see the HP StorageWorks Command View EVA installation guide.
regards.
