Shrink Volume

Hi

 

It may be a silly question but I didn't found a clear answer to this...

 

I have a P2000 G3 FC MSA array configured with 1 vdisk (raid 5) and 1 volume (entire capacity) and I need to shrink the volume so I could make some available space for another(s) volume(s).

 

Is it even possible?

No there is no option to shrink the volume size.

 

What I can suggest you like without taking risk with your live data, it is always better to take your backup and delete the entire volume and recreate volumes as per your requirement.
