Smart Array P431 and 4m External mini-SAS to 4x1 mini-SAS Cable Kit

Hello,

 

 

I'm planning to connect a disc enclosure D3600 with Smart Array P431 card with 2Gb Cache.

 

I would also like to connect Tape drive HP LTO-6 Ultrium 6250 ExtTAPE DRIVE with same card, for that i was thinking to use 2m External mini-SAS to 4x1 mini-SAS Cable Kit.

 

 

My question is , is this scenario possible , as per in P431 data sheet it mentions that it can connect upto 8 SAS ports, so i believe it can neither be Disc Enclosure or Tape Drive.
