Excessive failures with 300GB 10k SAS 2.5 hard drives

I have experienced 5 failures with 300GB 10k SAS 2.5 hard drives, PN 507284-001.  I bought these drives as part of a  DL380 G6 server order in 2010.   35 drives total in 7 servers and they seem to be failing at once.   I have other DL380 systems which never experienced a failure for the entire server life.   I checked the notices on these drives with nothing that is applicable to my vintage.  Any ideas what to tell my management since they are about to panic?  Any ideas on what I can do?

There was an issue reported last year with drives of model number EG0146FARTR and EG0300FARTT.
Obviously the second number would apply to your drives...

Customer advisory here that reports various problems with older firmware that could be causing your failures...

Worth a try...
