Hard drive replacement

I need to replace 2 ST39173WC, someone knows what would fit in and has 18G of capacity at least?

Re: Hard drive replacement

Pierre,

It would probably be easier to find something if we knew what it needs to fit into.

Re: Hard drive replacement

Pierre,

According to the Seagate website ( http://www.seagate.com/support/kb/disc/howto/interpret_model.html#SCSIPostDA_0 ), that's a "3.5-inch, low-profile (LP), 1-inch high, SCSI, 80-pin SCA (Hot Swapable)". I can find no equivalent drive of any larger capacity. If you look at the available SCSI drives ( http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/specs/interface_scsi_st3.html ), you'll see that there aren't any ending in WC that have a larger capacity.

Pierre

18Gb is the largest "HP Brand" disc for the D-series

Eugeny mentioned the A5528A
Other 18Gb Discs that would work are
A5286A & A5239A [HH]
I don't think that any of these are available remarketed anymore, but I could be wrong
On the used market they are expensive still
[I've seen $1,100 recently]

You can get larger & cheaper 3rd party discs that will go in the D-Class & the HASS
I've seen 36Gb & 73Gb sizes offered
