Re: Older Hitachi 146GB U320 SCSI Hard Drive firmware

Sure about the model name?

I found this:

HUS153014C4.frm               HP 146G HUS153014VL3800 disk drive HPC4

In what kind of system this disk is running?

I have this file HUS153014C4.frm, but only in a very special format.

Have a look:

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Older Hitachi 146GB U320 SCSI Hard Drive firmware

I found this only in the format for the Integrity servers in format for ODE (offline diagnostic environment).

Maybe I can find the link again.

[EDIT]

Maybe it is here

http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=346360&swItemId=ux_48809_1&swEnvOid=54#tab3

Can you find a product number like A1234A on the drives?

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Yes Torsten there is the part number AD206A (AD206-69001) which is listed but not for the hitachi model that file will support mostly Seagate Models........I am not sure if it would do the Hitachi any idea Torsten?

Re: Older Hitachi 146GB U320 SCSI Hard Drive firmware

Trying to attach a file...

Get the bundle from here

http://h20565.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=346360&swItemId=ux_57970_1&swEnvOid=54#tab2

copy the files to FAT formatted USB stick and add the attached file (remove the JPG extension).

I hope this would work.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Older Hitachi 146GB U320 SCSI Hard Drive firmware

Thanks Torsten, I downloaded that earlier and another very similar to it but although it lists the AD206A number none of them list the Hitach model........do you think it would still update it? I never noticed any JPG Ext? to be honest i am doubtful but i will give it a try...........thanks for your advice so far........Appreciated

Re: Older Hitachi 146GB U320 SCSI Hard Drive firmware

I spoke about the file I attached in the earlier post above (rigt hand side) HUS153014C4.frm.jpg ‏866 KB , due to the limitations I renamed it to *.jpg, because attach doesn't work for the original *.frm file.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
