Adding one shelf to existing EVA6300 ?
Hi All,
I'm using the EVA 6300:

Controller hardware: HSV340
XCS version: 11001100
XCS build: CR21F9lesp
Management software: mmp-0002.1000-CR0DAE
Can anyone here please assist me in what's the product number that is compatible to to the above unit and what's the maximum limitation of the shelf and the number of disks ?
Thanks.

Re: Adding one shelf to existing EVA6300 ?
Hello,
In the document, instructions are for disk enclosures being added above the controller enclosure, with the existing disk enclosures placed below the controller enclosure.
The kit contains two SAS mini-cables (0.5 meter/1 foot 7 inch)
I'll need following information to advise further.
What is the current configuration? I understand you are adding one disk enclosure.
How are the disk enclosures and controller enclosure placed in the rack? Where will the new disk enclosure be placed?
Are you planning to add the disk enclosure online, or offline?
The offline method is preferred if downtime is available. In that case, you may arrange the disk enclosures as shown in the attached diagram (example of P6300 2C6D) and cable them in daisy chain.

Nima
