backup/recovery from GFS <--> Ext3 using Hp Data protect

Regarding: backup/recovery from GFS <--> Ext3 using Hp Data protect

Setup:
I have 3 Servers and one SAN
Server L1 – Linux RHEL4 Update4
Server L2 – Linux RHEL4 Update4
Server-HPBK
SAN
Servers Profile:
Server L1 is a Linux Server with RHEL4 update4 running some oracle Database with EXT3 File system
Server L2 is a Linux Server with RHEL4 update4 running some oracle Applications with EXT3 File system
Server-HPBK is windows 2003 server running HP Data protector with NTFS File system.
SAN is with 1 single partition and formatted with GFS file system. Multiple hosts connected to one single partition to read and write data simultaneously.

Servers in Action:
HP Data protector takes the backup from Server L1 and L2 which is Ext3 file systems and stores it in SAN which is GFS file system.
HP Data protector should recover the backups from SAN which is GFS to Server L1 and L2 which is Ext3.
Backup = Ext3 --> GFS
Restore = GFS --> Ext3

Question:
Using Hp Data protect is it possible to take backup from Ext3 and dump it in GFS where Hp Data protector is running on windows 2003 server.
Using HP Data protect is it possible to restore the backup from GFS to Ext3 where HP Data protector is running on windows 2003 server.
Is there any risk factors and suggestions to do the same in production.

Thanks & Regards,
Shakeel.
