Dear All
We have problem when replace new SAN Switch, the disk use EVA Storage not detect. We replace SAN Swtich because older san switch fail.
Is right, the solution only with vgexport/vgimport? can we do vgexport, even though the disk not deteced because old san switch fail?
OS Server HPUX 11.23

Dharma

Re: Disk EVA Storage not detect after replace Fail SAN Switch
Yes, vgexport exports the definition only.
Can you find it by doing a vgscan in preview mode?
Did you create a proper zoning in the new switch?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Disk EVA Storage not detect after replace Fail SAN Switch
So, vgexport/vgimport in this case just exp/imp definition? not the data?
vgscan :
# vgscan -v
vgscan: Warning: couldn't query physical volume "/dev/dsk/c4t0d1":
The specified path does not correspond to physical volume attached to
this volume group
vgscan: Warning: couldn't query physical volume "/dev/dsk/c7t0d1":
The specified path does not correspond to physical volume attached to
this volume group
vgscan: Warning: couldn't query all of the physical volumes.
vgscan: The physical volume "/dev/dsk/c3t0d0s2" is already recorded in the "/etc/lvmtab" file.
Physical Volume "/dev/dsk/c0t0d0" contains no LVM information
/dev/vgellp
/dev/dsk/c14t0d1
/dev/dsk/c12t0d1
/dev/vg00
/dev/dsk/c3t0d0s2
Scan of Physical Volumes Complete.
Yes, we have done configre the zoning.
There is a tutorial to vgexport/vgimport for this case?
Thanks,
Dharma
