Factors that affect the timelife of a FC disk

Hi,

We have an array EVA P6500 with two controllers. This array was bought in october of 2011.
Recently, we have issues about several FC disk failed (15k rpm). We have five failed disk in the last two months, . This array is not in support contract.
I know that the age is a factor for probability of get a disk fail event, but, my question is:
What other factors can affect the timelife of a magnetic disk, specially in enviroment of EVA P6500 ?I have a similar array in other side with no problems.

Please provide me any clues according your experience.

It also depends if these are all the same vendor model and if all manufactured at the same time.

If that's the same, it would also depend on the duty cycle and finally the environment.
