HPE Store Website Rejects Email Addresses Containing a Hyphen "-" in the Domain Name
I have had an account with the HPE store for nearly a decade, and used it with no problems for years. However, recently, an apparent change to how the buy.hpe.com website performs input validation on email addresses has rendered the entire platform unusable to me. I have tried repeatedly (and failed) in the last few days to order a new server, for example.
I have an email address containing a hyphen "-" in the name. The RFC for domain names permits the hyphen as the SOLE special character permitted in domain names.
My email address is of the form, "myname@little-company.com.
It appears that an email address with a hypen in the domain name fails input validation, and generates an error message of approximately, "Email address is invalid" (I'm paraphrasing)
This occurs at the following places:
(1) At the buy.hpe.com login. In this place, it simply acts as if the email address or password are wrong.
(2) In the "Change my Password" hierarchy. If one selects Forgot My Password, then enters a hyphenated email address in Reset Your Password dialog box, you get the error message, "Please enter a valid email address."
As a web software engineer, I can picture the single line of code that validates an email address against a Regular Expression template, and I can almost bet that the template is wrong, as it rejects the hyphen.

Re: HPE Store Website Rejects Email Addresses Containing a Hyphen "-" in the Dom
Thank you for the suggestions.
I made this post exclusively to get the attention of the storefront webmaster so that this bug gets fixed. I could otherwise find no official channel to report website malfunctions to somebody who actually would take corrective action..
With regards to the online store itself, after two frustrating days with several long chats and an assurance that the sales team would telephone me to take an order on the phone (they never did), I gave up and bought a Dell.
