My computer keeps shutting down

Hi

I a senior using an HPE computer at home.

HP TouchSmart 9300 Elite XZ978UT All-in-One Computer - Intel Core i7 i7-2600 3.4GHz - Desktop - 8 GB RAM - 1 TB HDD - Blu-ray Reader/DVD-Writer - NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M 1 GB Graphics - Genuine Windows 7 Professional 64-bit - 23" Touchscreen Display - Wi-Fi - Bluetooth

I had several times to download windows 10 however not successfully.  Recently microsoft stopped supporting windows 7 so I found a free windows 10 online and downloaded it following instructions which required that I remove certain HP programs...

The computer system seemed to operate fine. However now it is shutting down several times a day. There is no shortage of memory. I went to HP support solutions framework as at one point it indicated their was a driver issue. When I went through HP there wasn't a replacement driver nor did it indicate my computer needed one. Anyway I was hoping that someone could direct me in the right direction to solve the shutting down problem.

Thanks Loretta3

Re: My computer keeps shutting down

Hi Loretta,

HP Touchsmart computers are products of Hewlett-Packard, Inc (HPI), which is a different company. For information and support on HPI products, please visit www.hp.com or the HP Support Forums.

Thanks,
