Windows 7, unable to get HP Laserjet 6L to print via USB cable

I have been unbale to get my HP LaserJet 6L to print after having installed it via Windows 7 & employing a USB to parallet cable.

It shows as being ready to use, but Test page does not print.....

LaserJet is a product of Hewlett Packard Inc.,, a company separate from Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Please see www.hp.com for support options for products of HP Inc.
