msa2000 expansion options and how to evaluate them??

Our MSA2000 has only 12 disks in it, needs more storage.

What devices can be used to expand an MSA2000?? My understanding is that the MSA2000 is scale out, not scale up.

Our MSA2000 caontains two P2000 G3 controllers with the most current firmware, so far as I know.

How does one evaluate whether to expand or replace an MSA2000??

What should I look at in the performance section to glean anything I should evaluate??

Also IIRC any expansion storage can only use 3 Gb/s disks or it will also throttle 6Gb/s down to 3 Gb/s??
