Where on the install media are the FireGL X1 drivers?

Hi All,

New to HP/UX. Old to *nix.

I have a zx6000 with the FireGL X1 card. I'd like to run HP/UX with X11 and whatever OpenGL accelleration I can get out of the FireGL (yes, yes it's very old. I know).

The installer gives me options for:

HP/UX Base operating environment

HP/UX Virtual Server operating environment

HP/UX High Availability operating environment

HP/UX Data Centre operating environment

Unfortunately, once I select any of these options I cannot find any package or option on my install media that looks like the FireGL drivers. Result is that /usr/sbin/sam->graphics tells me there's only a 'console' device and consequently wont allow me to configure X11. I've checked in /opt/graphics/... and indeed there are no drivers installed for the FireGL X1.

Any help in getting X11 up and running on this machine would be much appreciated.

P.

Re: Where on the install media are the FireGL X1 drivers?

What OS version do you try to install (11.31 or 11.23)?
AFAIR it is no longer in 11.31.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Ah. 11.31. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

The quest for 11.23 media begins...

Take care,
