MSL6060 Library - Strange Behaviour

Hi all,

When I configured the Tape Library 6060 as master-slave, I am unable to acess the web GUI of both libraries. But in standalone mode, I can acess the Web GUI of both. SCSI Connections are configured as shown in 'Pass-Thru Mechanism Service Guide'.

Secondly, when I configured the libraries as master slave, the slave is not showing on Master. Is there any setting in OCP other than making the libraries master and slave.

There is no error on Library OCP screens.

Thanks

Re: MSL6060 Library - Strange Behaviour

Slave is now visible on Master.

one issue resolved, still working on second, can't access the GUI in Master Slave Combination.

There is a 8-port ethernet switch on master on which the Controller boards cables are linked.

I attached my notebook to that switch then try to ping the IP, but didnt get any response.

Any suggestion ????

this is not a switch but more a router.
be sure to attach the public LAN to the correct port.

Re: MSL6060 Library - Strange Behaviour

This router is something special, the WAN port presents the IP of the library, the other ports are internal and server the master and the slaces with DHCP addresses.

Hope this helps!

Re: MSL6060 Library - Strange Behaviour

Which Port is Public LAN, as there are eight ports and one NEO MGT Port.

How to set Set WAN Port IP.

Re: MSL6060 Library - Strange Behaviour

As I have seen, there is no WAN port..

Eight port with 100-1-L/A ..... 100-8-L/A

and one NEO MGT Port.

One more thing that I noticed even when I connect to Controller board port, there is no response but in standalone mode, it works fine.

Do you have the library internal or an external router???

Hope this helps!

Re: MSL6060 Library - Strange Behaviour

when you connect two unit in master/slave mode, you can only access one gui, (the master).
The Slave will pass all the info to the Master unit, that is the only libray you will see (in the SAN, and in the LAN)
