Firmware failed - 1/8 G2 - Ultrium 920
I was upgrading the firmware of our Storageworks 1/8 G2 and the internal Ultrium 920. Both said they failed. They were working fine before the attempted firmware upgrade. After a power cycle, the loader shows the new firmware version (even though LT&T said it failed), but it is failing to connect to the drive. After 15-20 minutes it says the drive is ready, but then switches to a drive error. I have seen both FB 00 and FB 01. The drive was a good drive, so guessing the firmware is now corrupt preventing any communication to the drive. Please tell me there is a way to recover without getting a new drive??? Can I get back to factory, flash through NIC or usb?
