Disable IEEE 802.1x in Windows XP

How to disable the option "Network access control using IEEE 802.1x" in Windows XP registry?

Thanks a lot

Sylvain:

You could try going into Administrative Tools/Services and disable the Wireless Zero Configuration service.

If that doesn't work let us know.

I just noticed you seem to be from Quebec and if my French still works, you're involved in transportation. I thought it would be funny if you knew my cousins Glenn and Kevin Faucher. They own a small freight company, probably around Sherbrooke.

Just a thought.

There is a key called Tagging Mode which controls 802.1p and 802.1Q if that is what you mean. As long as nothing is in the value then it is not going to do any tagging. The "..." will change for every installation and every NIC.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\...\NdiExt\params\TaggingMode
