VCRM or HP Insight or HPSUM? Which one am I supposed to use to keep my servers updated?
I have about 10 ProLiant servers that I wanted to centrally managed the BIOS updates and other hardware updates from a single location. I thought I was supposed to use the HP SMH with the Version Control Repository Manager installed on one of the servers. I installed it and can't get it to download a file from the FTP site. I browsed the FTP site and the file date is from 2009. So, that got me wondering if this is the right way to manage the servers or if I'm supposed to use a different method?
I want to install the software on an old HP desktop we have and use it as the repository. I don't want to use a server for the repository or to push out the updates.
