Accessing ILO from the internet without having to pay for

Hello,

is there any way to access ILO from outside the local network from the internet without having to buy the expensive HP remote access licenses?  Our server is ML350p with ILO4

thanks in advance!

Yes - copy the IRC.exe file in your roaming profile (do a search) and put in on a TS web farm or Citrix.

Not real clear on what you're asking for here.

If you plug iLO into a network that is Internet facing, you can access iLO. If there is a firewall between the iLO and the Internet, you will need to open the ports iLO needs for access. This method is not considered a best practice.

Best practice is to access iLO remotely over some type of VPN or other secure connection.

If you want to use the iLO remote console feature on most ProLiant servers you'll need the iLO advanced pack license. This is required regardless of connecting via a local or remote network.
