insight manager - UPS power management

I am unable to get the uPS power management agent with Insight Manager 5.30 to send e-mail notification of UPS ac failure. I have managed to set up the Insight Manager destination setup and succesfully received email, however when clicking "alert handling" within the UPS option it informs me that e-mail has not been set up. Any help would be greatly appreciated,
