Browser Access Remote Insight Board

I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.6 and Java Plug-in 1.6.0_02. When I try to access my servers via the remote insight board I had been getting an error that the server was using an old unsupported version of SSL. I used about:config to enable all SSL options which had been turned off to get by that and now I'm left with Java in the box where the ID / password prompt use to appear. Opening the Java console I see an error

I don't know how to resolve this.

I did try Internet Explorer but that too stops with Java in the box where the login app should appear. Apparently the version of Java is to blame?

Please help.

Re: Browser Access Remote Insight Board

I've been doing a search for the same issue. I came across this during my search; but I'm not sure if it'll be the fix because I have to wait until Monday to try it. Hopefully it will help you though.

Re: Browser Access Remote Insight Board

Unfortunately I'm not running an integrated lights out setup but the older PCI based board. I'll boot the machine and get into the setup for the PCI board to see whether there is a reset to factory default option.

Re: Browser Access Remote Insight Board

Have you checked to make sure that Java is enabled on your browser? Another place to check is in the Java Control Panel under Advanced tab, Security tree and make sure that your SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 is checked off.

If I find a solution, I'll come and post the solution that we found on here.

We are getting the same error on our Java Console, but when we go to remote into the RILOE...our logon prompt is just a red X.

Hope this helps you some.

Re: Browser Access Remote Insight Board

I uninstalled all my other versions of java except for v1.4.2_06, cleared cache and cookies and it worked.

I agreed with Paul

try java 1.4.2
that is the recommended from HP

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html
