iLO2 text in remote console really big (netware)
We just installed our first netware 6.5 servers with iLo2 and noticed that the remote console text looks really really big. It used to display the whole console on one screen, now we have to scroll to see the whole screen. The servers are DL 360 G5's with iLO2 firmware 1.35 and we have iLO Advanced. Is there anyway to change this back to where the text isn't so big? Thanks.

Re: iLO2 text in remote console really big (netware)
iLO 2 captures the screen output in pixels and that translates directly to the size of the console displayed by the Remote Console applet (and by IRC).
To shrink the size needed by IRC/Remcons, you need to shrink the desktop (x-windows) resolution.

It's not running X Windows, just plain text mode.

Re: iLO2 text in remote console really big (netware)
In text mode, iLO will use the same resolution put-out by the video controller of the server. This is probably 1024x768, even in text modes.
Are you using the Remote Console applet or Integrated Remote Console? Although both can be resized, IRC can be run in "fullscreen mode" which adjusts the client screen to the resolution of the server.
At this time, there is no support for iLO to scale the remote console.
