Integrated Lights Out Passthrough Install Failure
I downloaded the Lights-Out Passthrough Service software. When I run the Application (hplopts.exe), it errors out. "Cannot start service from the command line or a debugger. A Windows Service must first be installed (using installutil.exe) and then started with the ServerExplorer, Windows Services Administrative tool or the NET START command." I tried searching for this installutil.exe software to download, but can not find it.

Re: Integrated Lights Out Passthrough Install Failure
Rachael:
The current component pack of the iLO Passthrough Service is cp07077.exe which when extracted has 4 files:
cp007077.xml (a description of the package)
cpqsetup.exe
genericmsi.dll
hplopts.msi
There is a pre-requisite of the .NET Framework and the iLO driver before installation. Start the install with cpqsetup.exe and it will deliver the bits and install the service. Simple as that.
This is to be installed on the server with the iLO that you want the passthrough to operate on. This is not for the client machine.
You additionally will need to enable its operation in the iLO user interface.
