DL 380 ILO Virtual Media
We are using a HP DL 380 G3 and are also utilizing the ILO. If I try to use the feature 'Virtual Media' all I am receiving is a window with a grey background (I think the java applet is not loading correctly). A colleague of mine is able to start virtual media on the same server. What could be the problem? My client hat Windows 2000 and Java 2.1.

Re: DL 380 ILO Virtual Media
Your iLO may not be licensed to use the feature.
In the iLO interface go to the Administration Tab and Licensing option to check. For a free trial license go to-

I also had an issue with my JVM. I can't recall where I went to update it.
Good Luck,
Tom

Re: DL 380 ILO Virtual Media
When you say "Java 2.1" do you mean the Microsoft Java VM? You should be using the Sun Java runtime, 1.3.1_09 or later...I believe 1.4.2 is the latest...
