DL320 w\Riloe II virtual cd
Hello,
Just checking to see if anyone has tried to use the Riloe II in a DL320 to do a virtual cd boot to a Microsoft Virtual cd drive.
Customer has an X: drive set up with the contents of a bootable cd (Suse Linux). Virtual CD Media front end connects to the X: drive just fine, but the server when rebooted won't boot to the iso image.
In the meantime...we are going to upgrade the system ROM just to make sure that's not an issue.
Thanks!
Ed

Re: DL320 w\Riloe II virtual cd
Ed: See the page at http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/platforms/usb-support.html for "ProLiant USB Support." If this is a DL320 G1 then there isn't USB support in the BIOS. Only with a system booted with an OS that support USB will virtual media function. DL320 G2 got this as added functionality.
