All the stuff I've read on iLOs so far does not mention entering the iLO DNS name into your DNS Servers...
is there some magic going on (ie how do I browse to a name that is not in my DNS), or do I have to enter the a new record into my DNS Servers?
If that is the case, surely we are running a risk of having the DHCP assigned address changing in the future, then making the DNS entry out of date?
Thanks for helping!

Re: iLO DNS
You have to either have your DHCP server register the addresses in DNS for you, manually create the entries, or enable DDNS registration in iLO:
>Administration tab
.>Network link
..>DDNS Server Registration: Set Enabled
Good luck!
