cannot keep clients connected after firmware update

I updated firmware on MSM710 so I could get newer MSM410s connected to it.  So all MSM410s got the newer firmware from the controller.  Now devices do not stay connected...they connect for serveral minutes, then disconnect.  Any ideas??
