I thought I mentioned that before. The explanation, not the debacle.
(Now how to search for that. :-)

Sounds like a potential application for a hardware accelerator based
on the Signetics 25120 write-only memory chip.

This appears to be a memory leak in the "It's All Text!" add-on that was fixed recently.

Re: Displaying most recent posts.
Returning to the original topic, I see that the "Community Home >
Welcome to the Community > Community Feedback & Suggestions" list
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/x/bd-p/community-feedback-suggestions
seems to be ordered as desired. That is, except for the first few
topics, the list seems to be ordered by last-posting-date-time. On the
other hand, various OS "All Topics" listings still seem to be ordered by
first-posting-date-time. For example:
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/forums/recentpostspage/category-id/itrc-280/post-type/thread
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/forums/recentpostspage/category-id/itrc-288/post-type/thread
Is there some magic option of which I'm unaware, or is this as good
as this mess is likely ever to get, or what?

Right, boards are ordered correctly except for the topics floated to the top.

Yes, that was the conclusion we came to above before they added the "Recent Posts" list.

I'm away from my usual VMS system for a while. Not relying on an
HP-supplied Web browser makes a world of difference. With the end of my
patch access, my usual VMS system seems likely before very long to
become my unusual/occasional VMS system. (I'll have swapped one set of
annoyances for another, but that particular one should then be gone
permanently. But not quite yet.)

"Yes" what? Which "that"? Yes it's still mostly lame and likely to
stay that way?

Yes, until they get new functionality from Lithium?
(I gave up on this and go board by board.)
