After I start it, I see the following device map:

hpvmconsole -P win -fi -c "pc -on"

Shell> map

blk0 : Acpi(PNP0A03,0)/Pci(0|0)/Scsi(Pun0,Lun0)
blk1 : Acpi(PNP0A03,0)/Pci(0|0)/Scsi(Pun1,Lun0)
blk2 : Acpi(PNP0A03,0)/Pci(0|0)/Scsi(Pun1,Lun0)/CDROM(Entry0)

Shell> blk2:
blk2:\> dir
ls: Cannot open current directory - No mapping
Exit status code: No mapping

Please help me how to map the DVDROM from the virtual server.

Thank you.

Re: Cannot mount DVDROM on Virtual Server

Bonjour Samshen,

First a comment that has no direct relation with your problem : I can see NO network interface in your VM. Oversight ?

I suppose you want to install Windows on this VM. Right ? What kind of distribution do you use ? To install Windows on a VM you need a 64 bits distribution for itanium, not for x86. See that url http://www.microsoft.com/servers/64bit/itanium/overview.mspx

Regards

Eric
