Configure sendmail with MS Exchange
Hi,
I have a server rx with hpux 11.31. I want to configure it with MS Exchange.
I have configured the files /etc/mail/sendmail.c and /etc/mail/auth/generic-hpux10.m, in this file I have include
define(`SMART_HOST',<` sendmail-sasl server name'>dnl
define(`confAUTH_MECHANISMS', `EXTERNAL GSSAPI DIGEST-MD5 CRAM
- MD5 LOGIN PLAIN')dnl
FEATURE(`authinfo',`hash /etc/mail/auth/client-info')dnl
I restart the process sendmail and I obtain this error
/etc/mail/submit.cf is missing
and
Sendmail client not started
Which I have configure more ? Have I to do anything on server Exchange ?
Thks
Jesus

Re: Configure sendmail with MS Exchange
Hi,
I have created the file but I dont know configure it. When I try to start the service I obtain this:
# /sbin/init.d/sendmail start
Starting sendmail [Done]
/etc/mail/submit.cf: line 1134: readcf: option RunAsUser: unknown user smmsp
Mail submission program must have RunAsUser set to non root user
Unable to start sm-client
For more information see /var/adm/syslog/mail.log
How is the user RusAsUser?
Thks,
Jesus

That's worse than if you just ignore that message.
