Re: Congrats to the new 1-star Olympian - Dennis Handly

My excuse is that I was away over the Labor Day weekend (U.S. holiday - first weekend in Sept) and never saw this thread.

After all, having given Dennis several thousand points, one at a time, I could hardly pass up the chance to congratulate him. ;^)

Just kidding, Dennis. Any and all awards that you might accumulate are well earned and well deserved. Hearty congratulations on the latest one!!

Re: Congrats to the new 1-star Olympian - Dennis Handly

Here's my belated speech:
Thanks everyone, I was real busy when I got promoted those long months ago and never found the time to go back and make my speech. Perhaps one day in the not to distant future you'll see the results of that work.
I tried but didn't quite make it to the halfway point to the next hat, before the ITRC forums hats are migrated to kudos.

As I mentioned last time, I only play a sysadmin on TV. :-)
My day job is the architect for the aC++ compiler.

>JRF: I always learn something from your contributions

Well, I have a different slant on things since I treat sysadmin as a way to get my job done.

>Bob: You sure make me feel like a slacker when it comes to points!

Didn't you say you started over N times?

>rick: I stand in awe of the Handlyan Wisdom :)

Yes, when I started five long years ago, you were another HP colleague that I knew, that demonstrated his own areas of wisdom.

>Duncan: if I knew the _first_ thing about C and C++, I'm sure I'd be even more in awe than I already am!

Thanks to a fellow HP colleague. Yes, that's my day job for 18 years.

>Torsten: Congrats to the "owner" of the "Issues Requiring Moderator Intervention" thread!

Thanks but I had Melvyn to do the dirty work. :-)

>R.K.: Hope to see another STAR soon.

Unfortunately they're migrating the forum before I could make it.

>Pete: After all, having given Dennis several thousand points, one at a time, I could hardly pass up the chance to congratulate him. ;^)

Yes, I missed those points since the start of April. ;-)
But I couldn't quite catch up to you.

And another thanks to those I didn't mention by name.
