cu and MSA 1000

I have MSA and rx8620.
I want to configure MSA remotely.
# cu -l /dev/tty0p0
Connected
and that is all

#cat /etc/uucp/Devices
Direct tty0p0 - 19200 direct
Direct tty1p0 - 19200 direct
Direct tty1p2 - 19200 direct
Direct tty1p4 - 19200 direct

# ioscan -fnCtty
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
===================================================================
tty 0 1/0/0/0/0 asio0 CLAIMED INTERFACE PCI SimpleComm (103c1290)
/dev/diag/mux0 /dev/mux0 /dev/tty0p0
tty 1 1/0/0/0/1 asio0 CLAIMED INTERFACE PCI Serial (103c1048)
/dev/GSPdiag1 /dev/MPdiag1 /dev/diag/mux1 /dev/mux1 /dev/tty1p0 /dev/tty1p2 /dev/tty1p4

What is the device /dev/tty0p0?
What do wrong ?

Re: cu and MSA 1000

Shalom,

What is the device /dev/tty0p0?

Its a terminal device. You need to connect to it via a serial cable.

The MSA also can be configured to have an IP address and changed via a web browser.

The MSA-1000 needs to be up to date on firmware to work with HP-UX.

Normally I have a Linux server with fiber card connected. That permits me to use PSP (HP ACU) and configure the storage via a web interface run on the Linux system.

You probably need HP ACU for HP-UX if such a thing exists.

Re: cu and MSA 1000

rx8620
Each Core I/O have a three RS-232 serial ports:
1 local console
2 remote (modem) console
3 UPS port

i try to connect via remote console
and it is my mistake.
/dev/tty0p0 is a UPS port
