defragmenting in linux

why there is no concept of defragment in linux ?
in other OS it is there.
what is so different in linux that it does not require defragmentation ?

Because there is not much of a need.
The file systems in linux and Unix like Operating system, stores the files in such a
organized/efficient way that defragging is almost not required.
