DL380/580 proliant; disk positions in bays vs SCSI controllers, on-line array configuration question

All,
I've got some DL380/580 servers with smartArray configured for disk mirroring (RAID 1+0).
I would like to confirm what is the best positionning of disks in server's bay.

physical disks query using hpacucli shows
root # /usr/sbin/hpacucli controller slot=4 physicaldrive all show
Smart Array P400 in Slot 4
array A
physicaldrive 1I:1:1 (port 1I:box 1:bay 1, SAS, 146 GB, OK)
physicaldrive 2I:1:5 (port 2I:box 1:bay 5, SAS, 146 GB, OK)

=> is this configuration with physical drives in slot 1 and 5 (1I:1:1 and 2I:1:5) better than slots 1 and 2 from a redundancy point of view?
i.e. are those slots using different SCSI ports ?

Another thing: I tried to use hpacucli to move a disk from a location to another one, but did not manage it. (moved the disk, and then tried to remove add to array, but only got error messages). Is it possible to do this on-line, or do we need to reboot to ACU without Linux OS running to change array configuration?
