Re: how to check if i have still free 20g local disk?

Hi Aristotle

Do pvdisplay /dev/dsk/c?t?d? on disk you want to check space.
Look for Free PE and PE Size
Multiply PE Size and Free PE you will get free space in Disk.

Re: how to check if i have still free 20g local disk?

I think these are your local disks:

/dev/vg00
/dev/dsk/c0t6d0
/dev/dsk/c4t6d0

Just do a

# vgdisplay -v vg00

to see the amount of unallocated space.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: how to check if i have still free 20g local disk?

Hi Aristotle

these are your local disks
/dev/dsk/c0t6d0
/dev/dsk/c4t6d0
which belongs to root vg if you want to see free space in this do
vgdisplay -v vg00 or pvdisplay /dev/dsk/c0t6d0

...

PE Size (Mbytes) 8
Total PE 8680
Alloc PE 8285
Free PE 395
...

8MB * 395 PE = 3160 MB free

If you want to know what disks are internal, please post

# model
# ioscan -fn

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: how to check if i have still free 20g local disk?

Hi

But here 395 PE's are free only on disk /dev/dsk/c4t6d0 which is mirrored disk and on primary disk no PE's are free as you can see lvol9 is in one PV only.
That's why 395 PE's are free in Second disk.

Re: how to check if i have still free 20g local disk?

This is a rp8400.

Local disks are

disk 394 0/0/0/2/0.6.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP 36.4GMAN3367MC
/dev/dsk/c0t6d0 /dev/rdsk/c0t6d0

disk 395 1/0/0/2/0.6.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP 36.4GST336752LC
/dev/dsk/c4t6d0 /dev/rdsk/c4t6d0

disk 396 1/0/0/3/0.6.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP 36.4GST336752LC
/dev/dsk/c6t6d0 /dev/rdsk/c6t6d0

Based on the information above the disk /dev/dsk/c6t6d0 looks still unused.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
