HP Drivers for RedHat Enterprise 3 - Proliant
Does anyone know an ETA of the Proliant Support Pack for RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 (ES) ..?
I have a DL380 G3 , and I do not want to put RedHat 3 on it till I can get the HP authorised drivers for the machine.
All I see at the moment is 2.1 , and it was said that support would be available from Dec. 2003.
HELP ..

That puts pressure on someone to work on the issue.

Re: HP Drivers for RedHat Enterprise 3 - Proliant
BTW,
The Proliant drivers for RHEL3 went live today on the ftp site. All of the support software should be pushed to the website by 02/02.
NOTE: HP requires the use of RHEL 3 update 1. We do not support RHEL 3 without update 1.
The links are as follows:

Re: HP Drivers for RedHat Enterprise 3 - Proliant
Under your \kernel\drivers\scsi directory
copy aic7xxx_old to \kernal\drivers\scsi\aic7xxx
move \kernel\drivers\scsi\aic7xxx\aic79xx ..\
move \kernel\drivers\scsi\aic7xxx\aic7xxx ..\
any other aic7??? series driver needs to be moved out of the aic diectory or Kudzu with try to load the most current driver. (bad kudzu karma)
modify \etc\modules.conf
find the entry for aic7xxx (or similar) and rename to aic7xxx_old
mkinitrd -f (recreate the initial ramdisk)
modprobe aic7xxx_old
Now, if you see your device... all is well and you need to REBOOT!
Bueno!
